Apple has begun sending invites to the press for an event occurring on September 12, 2012. The company is widely expected to unveil the next-generation iPhone at the event, and possible a smaller version of the iPad. The event will take place at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco and begin at 1:00 PM Eastern. The only tagline included on the invitation from Apple is “It’s Almost Here.”
