Adobe CTO Kevin Lynch resigns to join Apple

In a filing with the SEC today, Adobe announced that its Chief Technical Officer (CTO) Kevin Lynch has resigned from the company to “pursue other opportunities,” which has since been revealed to be Apple. Lynch spent ten years as the Chief Software Architect of Macromedia until the company was acquired by Adobe. He has been Adobe’s CTO since 2008. During that time, he spent a great deal of time participating in the Adobe vs. Apple debate over Flash on iOS devices.
